"Item of the Month" will attempt to highlight some interesting aspects regarding Jeffers' life, work, acquaintances, and related information. This week I pulled something out of a November 1988 (N. 74) edition of the Robinson Jeffers Newsletter (Ed. Robert Brophy). This piece below is from Edward Abbey who died the year after in 1989. Edward Abbey was, of course, the author of The Monkey Wrench Gang, Desert Solitaire, and many other novels and articles.
