The phrase "but not enough death to serve us, not enough death" occurs in the poem "Battle," originally published as "May-June 1940" in the Saturday Review, 10/8/40, and first collected in _Be Angry at the Sun and Other Poems_ (1941). It is reprinted in the Stanford Collected Poetry, Vol 3, p. 21, but not in the Stanford Selected Poetry.
