Much of Everson's work has a psychoanalytic perspective -- though it is typically Jeffers himself, rather than his characters, who is being analyzed. See especially his introductions to Californians, Brides of the South Wind, and An Alpine Christ.
I think you are correct that there is not an abundance of material bearing on this line of inquiry.
