    I'm an Irish born citizen , living in France, and my family name is Jeffers. Have you any ideas on the historical background of our name ? I've been searching a while through Internet, but without success for the moment. I've only been able to trace my family tree to my grandfather, Thomas Jeffers, whom from what I could understand was born and lived all his life in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, in Ireland. If you have any further information, please keep me posted.
